In baptism, parents usually speak on behalf of the child.  On Confirmation Day, the 8^th graders get the opportunity to speak for themselves or affirm their faith in Jesus Christ. Confirmation Sunday takes place each year in May for 8^th graders.

In preparation for their confirmation, students attend Confirmation classes on Wednesday evenings during the school year when they are 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders.
